Ewelina HoldregeMay 18, 2021

Meet the newest addition to the Idea Kraft team, Ashley Depew. As Office Manager, Ashley keeps the office running smoothly and morale high with her charisma and can-do attitude. Read on to learn more about Ashley, her background and her double-jointed arms.

You’re Idea Kraft’s Office Manager! What does that mean and what do you do?

It means multitasking. My responsibilities include keeping track of all the materials needed to help the office run smoothly, daily bookkeeping and working with clients as a project manager.

Where were you before this?

The land down under…by which I mean, Pennsylvania.  The bulk of my experience is in events marketing, events marketing and did I mention…events marketing? I worked with the Goodwill Theatre and Schorr Family Firehouse Stage in Johnson City, NY as the Marketing Director and Volunteer Coordinator for 10 years. My responsibilities included fundraising, promoting over 65 different events annually and coordinating 30-50 volunteer workers.

What did you go to school for?

I’m a Bloomsburg University Grad with a degree in Business Administration and Marketing with an interest in Fine Arts.  I spent a lot of hours in the darkroom developing black and white photography and working on mixed media creations. I also studied Global Business Economy and lived in the UK as part of an exchange program.

How did you get started at Idea Kraft?

I’ve been a big fan of Idea Kraft since the beginning. I had the pleasure of meeting Ewelina and Erinn separately years ago. I’ve always been impressed by the work they create— they have an amazing talent and work ethic. When Ewelina founded Idea Kraft, I was so excited for her— I knew it was going to be amazing. I truly love the work created by Idea Kraft. There is a lot of talent here and I’m honored to be part of the team.

Favorite part of your job?

The energy. The people. It’s an inspiring experience to be around people who are passionate about what they do.

What’s one thing that has surprised you in your career path up until now?

There are just so many interesting people out there. I never thought I would have the opportunity to meet so many interesting people!

Favorite campaign you’ve been a part of?

A Gala fundraiser featuring Broadway performers that raised tens of thousands of dollars for a nonprofit.

What’s one piece of advice you can offer to someone who wants a job like yours?

Being creative can be a career. Go for it. Stay curious.

Tell me something weird about you!

I am WAY obsessed with earrings, plants and puppies. It’s a problem. I also have doubled jointed arms that I can rotate all the way around.

What’s your go-to pizza topping?

Extra cheese (because there’s no such thing as too much cheese), mushrooms and black olives— is that gross?
